this one struck deeply, sir. these lines...

"You called me ‘better’.

Like I didn’t see

the parts you hid

from everyone else."

oof. awesome piece.

Wow man! I couldn't ask for a "better poem, to start my day! I love it!

Thanks, mate 🖤

I wish I had more space for writing those days, but it makes this piece even more appreciated also from my side.

This pulled me deeply in, super sensory, intriguing and mastery of weaving words to reveal more about a dynamic 🫶

Have you been there? With someone who tried to convince you you're too much? (especially knowing you actually are a LOT)

“You called me ‘better’.

Like you knew

the game was fixed.

Like you knew

I'd lose anyway.“

Man that stanza is so relatable

You created the perfect dynamic for how this can feel accommodating it with bitter, messy kinds of imagery throughout

Also the surf in that picture looks big!! Is that one you took or sourced?

Oh boy. Thanks Gub!

I think that's why people enjoy it. There's so many bad spirits who'd rather drag others down, than trying to make own lives better.

I found this pic on pinterest, but it felt like I've seen it before. Almost like it was my own memory.

I can taste the salt, the cigarettes, and the bitter wine. The kind of poem that leaves you missing something that never even existed.

Why are you such a perfect vessel for my poems?

That’s such a nice thing to say about me. 🥹

Your poems just make it easy…

The juxtaposition of gambling metaphors with emotional vulnerability is incredibly effective. Every recurring “You called me ‘better’” shifts in meaning, revealing another layer of loss, self-deception, and acceptance. Beautifully crafted. Just loved it 🖤🖤🖤

Sadly I have a very tiny writing space these days. So when the right moment and emotions come…
