Hex of Love
A delusional spell against time and being hollowed in half
Lay down beside me,
and stay
a little while.
Rest your head on my thigh,
and look up,
high in the blue
of a limitless sky.
Frown at my smile
as I look down,
low in the blue
of your troubled eyes.
Stand by my side,
breathe me in and cry
for as long as you like.
Let my fingers slither down
the bridge of your nose.
Let them dry your tears.
Let them count your freckles.
Let them test if you are still mine.
Take my hand,
and open your wings.
Let them rip apart,
clothes, rules, limits.
Fly us to the warm lands,
where black, volcanic sands
meet sweat of bare feet.
Where silent oceans
kiss the fade of dead stars.
Where memory of their light
still dispels the dark.
Fight off the urge
to reject my lies.
That we met yesterday.
Havenβt aged a day.
Fought side by side.
Died holding hands,
cheek to cheek,
smiling,
in sleep.
That neither of us
was hexed into
bird with no feathers,
beauty with no charm,
devil with no sins,
God with no love.
Not a single day
hollowed in half.
